Looking at your lifetime
Years passing as days
Today blurs into next year
Nothing really to gain
All my life is harsh
Confusing if you will
Time and time I set to change

I’ve tried to lift myself up
It just doesn’t work
One day some sickness
Undoes all I’ve done
Enemies all around me
I’m the worst of all
Help someone hear me
It seems just like a fall
Jesus came to see me
Spoke just like I hear
He said I could ask Him
He would bring me near
Near to the heart of God
Make me God’s friend
The Lord is offering me a chance
To really change the way I live
The opportunity is mine
I can claim this gift
A life with Christ as Savior
A life that exactly fits
