Here I am
Living life from God
So often overlooking
What I’m called to do

The Lord loves me
Not on a scale
Jesus died for me
So that I would be well

Healed from separation
Equipped to serve
Fellowship with the Father
To hear His words

So often I get lonely
A pity party event
Life gets unfocused
Sin creeps in

Then the Lord comes to me
As gently as I will let
He guides me back to balance
Whatever way is best

Eternity looms so quickly
But today is my concern
The Lord loves me completely
Jesus sustains me

Jesus Christ is Lord of me
He seeks my best good
Hearing me is important
Knowing I’m heard is good

Sin is such an evil
Always plotting against me
Using my addictions
Seeking to enslave me

Such a great enemy
Never taking a rest
Ready to pounce any moment
I forget myself

Christ is always able
To help me thrive and survive
The enemy is defeated
Jesus Christ is alive

Christ makes me important
I can talk with God
The Lord loves me completely
Even though I’m often not good

Life requires intervention
When I’ve lost my way
The Lord will lead and guide me
And bring me back when I stray

I speak to God in Christ
Just like now
The key is to listen
It takes time to know how

Listen as I build my case
For needs and concerns and help
Listen for the Father’s words
That gives me strength within myself

Seeking out the Lord’s concerns
Living as I read His Word
Knowing that the lift of my heart
Is evidence that He has heard

Tomorrow looms with violence
So many fears and needs
The Father calms my heart strings
He gave me His life in Christ

What are my needs this moment?
What would I do If?
The Lord desires my presence
He hears me as I talk to Him

Looking at your lifetime
Years passing as days
Today blurs into next year
Nothing really to gain

All my life is harsh
Confusing if you will
Time and time I set to change
Nothing ever will

I’ve tried to lift myself up
It just doesn’t work
One day some sickness
Undoes all I’ve done

Enemies all around me
I’m the worst of all
Help someone hear me
It seems just like a fall

Jesus came to see me
Spoke just like I hear
He said I could ask Him
He would bring me near

Near to the heart of God
Make me God’s friend
The Lord is offering me a chance
To really change the way I live

The opportunity is mine
I can claim this gift
A life with Christ as Savior
A life that exactly fits

Each of us is troubled
By virtues we don’t have
Yearning for equipping
Striving to be good

Goodness is how God is
Even though we are new
In Christ is our virtue
The Lord loves you

Every time we falter
Anytime we fail
Jesus is the answer
To make us well

Tried and true our Savior
Never, ever weak
All of His devotion
Should make me think

Think about His presence
Think about His goals
Bend the knee to our Savior
He will make us whole

Now we know the answer
When sin enters out
Out with the sinning
When Jesus enters in

Turn your eyes to Jesus
Ask Him for your way
His wisdom is always perfect
Christ will lead you in His way

Every day I start with You
Spending time
Learning too
So that I can live

Old troubles wiped away
The past forgiven
I’m new today
Because I’ve been with you

Live within the life you give
Knowing how to stand
Establishing my show
Unfolding the plan I know

You are all the world to me
Telling me
I can be
The person that you made

Never out all by myself
Angst and pain removed
Your love has healed my heart
Each day is a brand new start

All my minutes, hours, days
Built as You have said
Your will I will obey
Your Word is in my soul

Father God you rule my life
I’ve put you at the helm
Looking in your Word
My life is yours

Every moment You love me
I want that love to show
I bend my knee to You
Because You love me so

And in this time well spent
I sense the growing peace
Rule me with your Word
Equip my life with good sense

I don’t know tomorrow
But I know You
Tomorrow is Your chattel
Help me be like You

Working in the things I do
I give my life to You
Every moment You are true
Jesus I love You

My actions show my love
Your love is filling me
Rule my heart today
Help me live Your way

Days pass like moments
Quickly becoming a year
The people we meet each moment
Is the blessing for our year

Along the way
Special friends
Change our ways
Affect our days

Jesus loves people
He’s not into wealth
Not the way man counts
People represent our wealth

You are a blessing
So many things you’ve done
My life is much better
Knowing you as one

Thank you for your friendship
You’ve been so kind to me
This Christmas treasure
The friendship offered me

Grace and peace from Jesus
Have a blessed New Year
People make the difference
As Christ equips our heart

Works hard
Lives right
Serving God
Seeking Christ’s delight
Reaching out to folks
To help them know the Lord

Building man
Wise and strong
Generous life
Helping others belong
Able to help those who hurt

Brilliant mind
Humble man
Grace for others
A helping hand

Active parent
Loves his kids
A wife he adores
His life he gives
Joy he instills

Delightful
Insightful
A giant today
In all he does
Each action he takes
Serves the Christ he loves

On the plane to Israel, thinking of one who makes this trip possible.

A babe was born
On a lonely night
Like someone scorned
Yet He came for me

I wasn’t there
I was full of despair
Finding my way
Using each day

He knew my pain
He shared my name
Poverty and desperation
Called out for me

A cave and rags
His mother afraid
Joseph stood strong
He knew God was home

Then shepherds came
With marvelous joy
God had come
What wonderful news

In Jerusalem they said
Redemption is here
They didn’t know
His death would make it so

Shiloh had come
Herod was gone
The king was here
God was near

The magi worshipped
Praising the king
They were pagans
God made them sing

His life began
As any man
Perfection His road
Death foretold

He died for me
He set me free
Praise this Babe
His life God gave
