Jesus loves me
I know this
Because He died on Calvary
Before I cared for Him

He spoke a word to Moses
Come here son
You are valuable to me
This is what I have done

He spoke words of living
A manual just for man
Jesus says I love you
His love builds me

Just as God led Israel
He leads you and me
Just as God chose Moses
He chooses us to be

Be part of His work
Be in His family too
Jesus came to share God’s good
He equips us to belong

Belong to the Father
Belong where we are
In Christ our lives are holy
We are different than pagans are

Serve the Lord with gladness
Rejoice He is here
His presence is eternal
Our lives are very dear

All around we see
Former friends we liked
But knowing us offended them
Or maybe we decline to see
Those others are different
Unlike you or me

Some of us have friends we’ve lost
To hate or fear or death
One thing is sure
Our living is no cure
Jesus loves each of us
And teaches us to love the least

Seeing is believing
Look into your heart
Where are those you said?
Would never ever depart

The truth is Christ
In Him we find our strength
To live with those He sent us to
And let them know we care

You may not succeed
Others have to choose
To care for us
We cannot demand their love

Jesus loves you
His love is true and strong
Unlike the world we live in
Christ will never leave us alone

I hate discipline
It appears to take from me
Humans have such trouble
Why discourages me

Discipline is for survival
I can’t see spiritual war
As evil storms and rages
Discipline makes me whole

So easily my heart runs
To things that are not good
Try it and you will see it
Evil will get you good

Discipline equips me for service
It marches me in Christ’s way
Helping me to be growing
Knowing Jesus more each day

Discipline is the entry gate
To a Holy life in Christ
Becoming more like Jesus
Is the result of a disciplined life

Such a paradox for us humans
We want gifts and an easy way
Gifts do not equip us
Only discipline leads Christ’s way

How to live a Holy life

Guarded by the Savior’s hand
Coming from an ancient land
Christ knew you
Would need these words from God

Actively intruding
Confronting you
Jesus is true
He is here to lead us through

Through those days of trouble
Tougher than we know
His presence heals the hurting
Jesus loves you so

Listen as you are living
Obey every word
Let His hand correct you
Even when pride must go

Live as if you mean it
Reach out to all you meet
They need what Christ offers
Your words and life will let them know

Revel in surprises
Christ gave this life to you
He will never leave you
Rejoice in living whole

I was meant for heaven
Jesus created me
All this stuff on earth
Has made life real rough

I was meant for heaven
The Lord called my name
It seems that I’m too busy
Another time my refrain

I was meant for heaven
The world pounds away
When will I wake up and see
The world has nothing for me

I was meant for heaven
Joy is my claim
Ask the Lord’s forgiveness
Cry out His name

I was meant for heaven
Streets of gold for me
This world holds me hostage
Jesus sets me free

I was meant for heaven
Lord I hear you speak
Guide me through this maze of life
Until my soul breaks free

My home is already made
This world just a breath of fate

Worry, dread and suspicion
I feel I’m on my own
Jesus knows my troubles
He created me for God

All around are tigers
Seeking to devour
I am just an infant
The spiritual world’s afire

Christ makes me a priority
Calling out my name
He has come a looking
The Father has proclaimed

Proclaimed that I am worthy
Jesus paid for me
His death on lonely Calvary
Provided life for me

He saw me in my struggle
Across 2,000 years
Jesus knows my painful need
The solution is in Him

Looking up to Jesus
I listen as He speaks
I am in a pickle
I’m living in defeat

Victory is mine
I have asked Christ in
His life is what I needed
His word makes me grow wise

Hurry up and listen
The choice belongs to you
Ask my Lord and Savior
To give freedom to you

Every day Christ waits
He listens as we rise
His offer is to guide our life
Our choice is time with Him

Time, time runs away
Stealing life from us
We go blithely along life’s path
Thinking we control the day

Time with Christ
Redeems our day
Guiding us through the maze
Conquering the day

We can choose
The Word of life
And let Him rule our way
Victorious every day

Or we can choose
To be confused
Surprised by every twist
Life is never bliss

Choices make disciples
Time is what we need
Time to serve and time to grow
Jesus will lead each day

Value is our watchword
The Lord loves us so
Listen as He calls
Jesus will teach us what we need to know

We must choose

No limit on my desires

Truth says wrong
Destroy your soul
Reap death’s hold

They say
Have it all
Do what you must
People don’t count

Truth says
God loves people most of all
He loves you
Come back home

Don’t listen to gossip
Don’t listen to lies
Within your soul
Truth continues to cry

Stand up and take control
Give Jesus your soul
Let Christ have your heart
